The 2022 National show in Tullamore truly felt like no other!
It proved a hugely successful day for team Liss winning the Male, Female and Overall Championships in the Aberdeen Angus sections. Taking Senior Female, Overall Female and Supreme Championship was the tenacious Liss Kim S641.
This coming six year old cow is no stranger to the Blueball site having placed first in the junior cow class and taken the Reserve Senior Title at Tullamore show back in 2019. While also securing the junior championship at the 2018 show as an in-calf heifer.
Sired by Te Mania Berkley B1, she was shown alongside her natural twin heifer calves who also performed well on the day placing first and second in the January heifer calf class despite being over three months younger than most exhibits. The pair were sired by the herds stock bull Lisduff Bang Bang V742.
This year’s show was judged by one of the most recognised cattle judges in the world, PJ Budler. To date he has judged over 70 different breeds on six different continents, in over 40 countries!
We also came up trumps in the male section with Liss Bruno X120 winning the January 2022 Bull Calf class and then the Male Championship. Bruno is a son of Liss Dingle V936 who placed first in the intermediate bull class on the day. We would like to thank everyone for making this day possible. It is one we won’t ever forget!
