100 years of Mc Enroes farming Liss

2024 marked a special year for us here at Liss as it marked the 100th year since Mc Enroes started farming the land at Liss. On the 6th of November 1924, John McEnroe purchased the land at Liss. The Liss Aberdeen Angus Herd was then established in 1953 by Batty Mc Enroe who bought his first Aberdeen Angus heifer from his Uncle Bernard McEnroe of Lakeview, Co. Cavan. Batty’s son John, in partnership with his own son Sean, continue to farm Liss today. Here’s to many more years of Mc Enroes farming at Liss!
